1/2 cup shortening, partly margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chocolate chips

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in whole egg and 2 egg yolks. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine the two mixtures, blending well. Spread batter in 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle nuts, chocolate chips and marshmallows over batter. Beat two egg whites until stiff; fold in brown sugar and spread over top of cake. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 30-40 minutes. Cool and cut in squares or small bars.
